Re: Attention
if I am av I would also come here (and all other related forums and sites) to get info. better than to randomly ask any sheepish looking guy in gland.
can surf porn and call it work = win. |

Re: Attention
It's quite obvious why this site is still allowed. It's so easy to shut it down. Even if it's hosted remotely in another country, so what? Just work with all the Internet Service Providers, and get them to block this site.
But why do that? The AV can get so many leads here. So many pairs of eyes helping them spot the problem areas and they just have to move in to raid. It's like letting the white snake loose and then having it lead man to the 1000 year old Ginseng root.

Re: Attention
If everyone dont post location and name of the joint. The av will spend quite some time to figure out the place. If they need to spend lot of time to gather little infor, maybe they will let this site off. As this is not a easy place to gather infor or source.
But if everyday we post fr and together with the name of shop or location. Of cos the av will glue to this site like leech.Because this site make their work easy mah and also 100% can break case, who dont want, right. So bros over here, pls work hand in hand.cheer! |

I would also suggest names of people should NOT be mentioned in open forum as well. The mindset of sharing openly in the HC forum should be changed, the climate of the HC scene has changed completely. It would be unwise to keep providing information in a place where it is monitored by authorities. (However does not apply to the Geylang thread, which is known to be the legal red light district) |

Re: Attention
Couple bros got it right....
I'll tell you a story....grab a cup of coffee A few years ago my brother in law got busted and did 2 years in a federal prison in the States. What he did was go to Limewire in the morning search for "porn", select all, and download all. He would come back in a few hours to see what he got (downloaded). Part of what he got was childporn. He's not into that, and he deleted it. This went on for approximately 3 months. Then one day, the FBI came into his shop and arrested him for possession and distribution of child porn. When they searched his computer they didn't find any child porn. As I said, he's really not into that. However, because he was using bit torrents where he was unknowingly "seeding," by definition of the law that technically represents "distribution." And that's what he was busted for--distribution. Now, to get to the point...off the record, the prosecutor told my brother in law that he knows he's not really guilty in the sense that we would expect distribution to be. And my brother in law told the prosecutor and the FBI, then why don't they close sites like limewire down? Their response was more or less...they keep it open because that's how the FEDS catch people. For years, Limewire was a tool for the FEDS and one of the easiest ways for them to catch childporn was by keeping sites like limewire open. So if you ever wonder why the MDA shuts down some sites and keeps this one open when parts of it obviously promotes illegal activity, its because like the FEDS, this website is a tool for the AV, and I would guarantee the AV wants this website open....because this is where they get a lot of their info...we are all spoonfeeding them. Today limewire finally has more or less shut down, but there are bit torrent sites still such as iso hunt and pirate bay among a few. To end this story, my brother in law is out of prison, but for the rest of his life he is labeled as a sexual offender. Whenever he applies for work, moves to a new house, wherever he goes, he has to register himself as a sexual offender. As mentioned, you all had better believe that this website is a definite tool for AV. Loose lips sink ships........ Last edited by sgshiok; 15-03-2011 at 12:16 AM. |

Re: Attention
Thanks sgshiok for your story..
I want to suggest that SBF is not just a source for the AV but for the conservative singaporeans who took it upon themselves to rid SG of such illicit activities shared here. After all, i'm pretty sure there are people who visit SBF and take down addresses, then call up the police to report on these locations. Police will then have no choice but to act on these tip offs. Such people include New Paper reporters, religious right wingers, conservative people who think SBF is tearing apart family and social values. I strongly believe the increase in raids is not because AV has finally stepped up, but that the SPF must be seen to remove all 'undesirable' foreigners who are here working on illegal activities, because of upcoming elections and concerns about influx of foreigners. Raids should decrease after elections. What can we do? I don't think there's anything wrong with sharing per se. But I think the easy access to this site is a problem - it is indexed in google, anyone without an account can view this forum publicly. As of 121am tonight, there are: 13191 ACTIVE users - 5553 members and 7638 guests (ie can view forum, do not have user account) Total SBF members 164913 Active users in this forum alone - 1093 Singaporean Males aged 15-65 yrs old: 1.28million. That means about 12% of hot blooded Singaporean males are members of SBF. If you assume an equal proportion of guests are here because they are interested in the activities in SBF, then about 25% of Singaporean males like SBF, or 1 in 4. That's a lot of attention this site is getting. I think at the minimum... a. Limit all forums to users with valid accounts. b. Limit sharing to users with a minimum rep points (eg 40). c. Users who want to up their rep points need to contribute by offering up original FRs, or share pics/vids. This will eliminate most conservatives who fear being arrested for 'distribution'. Lock down the system. That's one step forward i think..

Re: Attention
i should add that while AV might be aware that some joints offer special, unless they can catch the ladies in the act, it is useless for them. so recent reports seem to be that AV have now gone undercover, sent one of their men in to a joint to see if he gets propositioned, and then send in their squad.
Ladies should be more careful of new customers..
