I think you're looking at it wrong. Circumstances are too unpredictable to gauge someone's reaction. A more accurate way to make sense of women is character. There are some women who are kinder and more forgiving, and there are others who even hell has never known their fury. Like most things in the universe, most exist in a bell curve between these two extremes.

So if you cheated on a woman who is more kind then vengeful, then lucky you I guess... Also, shame on you.

I actually don't think that a woman will out of kindness forgive the man. It would more likely be forgiving him to keep the family intact especially those with young children. Deep down inside, it'll never be forgotten...

Oh, you'd be surprised. Some men are especially adept in pulling at heartstrings. I hear about it all the time, women making excuses for their partner's bad behavior. Not his fault lah. He's had a bad childhood lah. He was under alot of stress lah. It's the other woman's fault for seducing him lah. It's his friend's fault for influencing him lah. It's my fault for not fulfilling his needs lah.

Granted, she probably won't forget, but forgiveness is pretty common. That and tolerance for the hurt it brings. You don't have to forget to forgive.

Going through the motions to keep the family intact is more of a man's response. It's a logical choice - making an action for a foreseeable payoff. I don't mean women don't make that choice, but it is usually secondary. Women primarily taps deeper into the emotional side, and if she forgives you, that can only mean she really loves you don't you think?
