Bro. I suggest u go for the HIV test first. At least u can ease your mind after the test and no need to feel so stressed up. After that, you then go for the normal STD test. Good luck
See my signature for the times of HIV test. Cost only $20 nia

wait for about 20-30 minutes, they will call your number again.. and tell u the results.

Bro,
An unprotected BJ brings with it a low risk for HIV, but other STDs such as NGU, syphllis, herpes, Hep B can be transmitted. If positive, your records will still be kept confidential, but if HIV+, then your spouse will have to notified under the law. Treatment fees vary, depending on what treatment is required. Some STDs such as herpes do not have a cure, but most bacterial infections do. The most important is to detect the STD early. Treatment for most STDs at DSC is heavily subsidised by the government so it is pretty affordable.

Dear Handsome,

BJ puts you at low risk of contracting HIV infection. Your result cannot be positive unless you confirm it for a test. Forget about the "what-ifs". Your description of the sex partners is so vague, who can give you good advice if that is the case? In any case, if you are tested positive with the DSC or any other private or govt clinic, MOH will be informed. Your wife will be informed only. Your employer will not be informed unless you work in the health care and/or military services.

If you are afraid to be known, you can come down to AfA test site for anonymous testing opening from Tues, Wed, Sat.

Check out our website: http://www.afa.org.sg

There is NO cure HIV infection - once you get it, it stays with you for life. Treatment is for life - you will need to be on medication. Treatment can cost your limbs, rich or poor, handsome or ugly - your savings will be depleted rather quickly. Affordable medical treatments are available with AfA counselling services.

For more questions in private, or counselling services, you can drop us an email at [email protected]

Best wishes

Dear jason19870313, the window period can vary from person to person, depending on many different factors, like the viral load of the infected party, the sex act that was committed, how safe was the sex, and whether you or both parties were conscious and not otherwise intoxicated during the sex.

Moreover, everyone has a unique immunity system which will react differently to the introduction of the HIV virus into the body. The HIV virus in itself kills not by destroying the host body, but its immune system. Once the immune system is down, other diseases or infections (otherwise also known as opportunistic infection or OIs) can then wreak havoc on the body. Those with a stronger immune system can last the onslaught longer, while those weaker will fall prey faster.

As a result, the window period (typically ranging from days to 3 months) will vary from person to person. It also depends on what test you are talking about – the antigen test or the antibody test.

Bro handsome1968, go and visit the doctor without hesitation as you are a cheongster. Itchiness and wounds are tell tales signs of STDs. Imagine your fear and the fouled groin area gives you hell. Worst if you spread it to your partners.

Dear Jason,

It is true that 95% of those tested after their first exposure will show on the first month. On the third month, it will be almost 100% that if one is positive, the test will show up.

Hope this helps. That said, when one come to do test at our AfA test site, we usually would want our client to come back in in the third month to reconfirm after the first month of exposure.

Best wishes
