It all depends upon what the "employment" is. Astronauts require stringent pre employment health checks. Commercial airline pilots are comprehensively screened too.

On the other hand, garbage collectors don't need to meet the same standards.

Which sector you working in?
A normal pre-employment health screening :-
1. Eyesight Test
2. Measure ht / wt
3. Color Blind Test
4. Urine Test
5. X-ray of chest area. Some done at SATA.
6. Answer some medical questions by the doctor. Basic ones like any drug allergies, medical history,.....blah, blah, blah. Your Blood Pressure might be measured here too.

Think should be about it. Can be accomplished in half a day.

Of course, if you are an astronaut or pilot, there might be other tests.....

Some companies also require you to undergo STD blood test but it's usually limited to Syphilis only which is rather uncommon in sg.

If you suspect you have anything, go and check on your own first lah...

It depends on the company. Some even test for HIV.

when i was doing mine, got to fill up the form. and when asked if done any surgery, i wrote down circumcision.
when my name was called, it was a female doc. and she asked to see my circumcision...wa piang eh, gotta try very hard not to have an erection..

general urine test and chest xray is the most common...

never had one where i needed to draw blood...though some ask u to sign certain declarations...abt your sexual health
