Dating Other Races Advice Please

Hey bros & sis,

need some advice. I am an indian bro and i usually date within my race. I went out once before with a chinese girl and a malay girl. Very nice girls but less in common. Also dunno about your races but within the indian culture, there is a bit of racism or scrutiny. They don't like it if you date outside of your race. It's not that they look down on other races but just prefer for us to date and marry indians. Is the same for all of you?

I personally think you should be with who you fall in love with no matter the skin color. Now I'm in NUS and a lot of girls from all over the world and here in Singapore. Everyone is more open and casual about dating and it's good but i still feel like i'm doing something wrong when i flirt with girls of other races.

Do you have any advice? What do you feel about society's pressures on interracial couples? Do you think that it's ok in Singapore? I feel that these dates race is still a big issue for a lot of ppl especially with so many ppl moving to Singapore.

Date whoever you're happy with... Why should you allow your relationship to be based on what society thinks of it? It should be based on your and your partner's feelings... I have seen many interracial couples who get along really well and are really happy together despite their differences. At the end of the day it just boils down to whether your relationship is strong enough to withstand the difficulties you may have to face in future.

Hey bro, i'm mix - Chinese and American.
I went to SAS and overseas most of my life so I speak with a slang.
For this i had some issues with being judged but it doesn't matter.
My wife is local Chinese.
I love her cos she's open and loving and makes me laugh.
Sure sometimes we get looks outside but who cares.
Singapore is a judging society.
So just acknowledge it and move on.

Fell in love with a local Chinese gal n now happily married to her. So no race or nationality is no bar when it comes to dating. N it's good to mix with other races kinda creates a healthy atmosphere n leads to more racial harmony.
