Bto and marriage issue

Hi all, any bros got experience on following can advise?
1) just got keys to bto recently
2) marriage issues
3) dont want to give up flat to hdb due to mop period
4) want to go on separate ways
5) no kids, above 35

Any way i can keep the house? After divorce.

find another person to form family cluster with u
can be parents. single parent can, if parents were divorced or only have 1 parent left but that parent must dispose their flat.

adopt a child

rope in an unmarried sibling

discuss and have mutual agreement with your spouse on terms for splitting up. both of u may wanna choose to delay divorce till MOP so both can profit from selling the bto from there. but be careful on this because when that time comes, what u both initially agreed on (maybe say split flat proceeds 50/50) may not be the same anymore. The other party might seek to have a bigger share of the flat after seeing how much profit they can make

but they need to dispose their flat. both names have to be added to your flat
if parents divorced, only the one joining your flat need to dispose his/her flat.

there is 1 more way but i dont want to reveal. it is too dark to visit this ave. Highly not recommended.

already showed u the ways to keep the flat. dont PM me anymore to ask again pls.

If u can find a family member to rope in, do it. Especially if the family member doesnt own any property. Easiest way.
Else is have mutual agreement with spouse to delay divorce till MOP.

Dont go adopt a child just to keep the flat. totally not worth it.
Some losses are smaller than taking on a larger liability.

Write-in or make an appointment to HDB, sit down and tell them your sad story. Case-to-case basis. Likely, they will ask you to sell back to HDB (Re-possess).
