When he arrived at Harbour Bay custom, he found out he had lost his white card, searching up and low, still not able to find it. Therefore, he is not able to queue up and get his passport chop by the custom officer, so he informed one of the custom officer and was escort to a room, after about 30-45mins he came out from the office and was issued with a new white card by the custom officer and was able to get his passport chop and enter batam.
Now the main thing come, he informed me when he is inside the office with on e of the custom officer, he was told by the officer to pay $100 for the replacement white card as this is a penalty fees or he will need to go back sg. So my friend got no choice but to give the $100 for the replacement white card. I told him penalty my foot, this is daylight robbery and the money will go inside the officer pocket.
So bros going to batam, please be very very careful with your white card.

Bro Kencher88.
What penalty ????
Normally just get a New White card to fill in again all the info. Just likes u travel to Malaysia via Woodland or Tuas 2nd Link to JB. You hv your Ferry return ticket info as well. U can ask the Ferry staff or Indo staff for the white card before you are inline to chap your passport. If u don't know how to fill the form, don't be shy to ask the people queue up and I am sure someone there willingly to help. (Do it while in queue)
If u are asked to pay $100 for the white card, just tell them I will take the next available ferry back to S'pore. U are not a criminal don't hv to be afraid. For god sake, not wasting time acceptable amount is $10~$20.
I could recalled that many years back At T. Balai, my passport going to expired less than 6 months, Immigration Staff called me to the office and demanded for $100. I told them, I will take the next available ferry back to S'pore. Negotiated down to $20. This probably is a diff case as International Law standard, in order to entry foreign country passport validility is 6 months before expire. Note-I was traveled alone at that time. A bit lucky also as the Indo Imm Staff can refuse my entry. This scenairo, paying $20 is ok
