Agree with bro henri2 on driving in batm.....but overall driving in batam is much safer than driving in sg or my this is just my experienced.
Been driving in batam less than 10years. Its true about the ojek , angkot and taxi drivers. there's no rules of law that will make them follow coz the law are meant to be broken....that's their excuse. Just becareful and be prepared and defensive driving is a MUST.
The roads are poorly light-up and lots of holes here and there which one must familiarized during driving in batam.
There's a saying : Siang jalan banyak lobang , malam lobang banyak jalan....meaning daytime road got many holes , nite time many holes on the road....!!!!!
