Re: Vietnam - HCM

Not sure if what I was saying before made sense. As I re-read the replies it looks like people think it's unworkable to have individual threads. It's not. It's common. Ho Chi Minh City is not a specific topic, or shouldn't be, it should be a general topic area where more specific topics could be posted inside it. For example: LE DUYEN 4 -- HAVE EXTRA SERVICES? and then replies within that. Most forums on the internet follow this structure, allowing users to create a topic with a name within a general area. It works well on other forums that deal with this topic too. Example:
Forum Index - Thai360 - Powered by FusionBB

You'll see you can go down into something similar to what we have here, called "Regional Sanuk", and within that section there are a few of the common areas (North Asia, Cambodia, Indonesia, etc) -- if someone wants to post about an area not there already, they can do that at the general level, or else they can click into the specific area they want. And in all these, they create the name of the specific topic. If you just want to post about something being discussed already, you can do that too. If someone wanst to post an ongoing chat type discussion like this one, that can be done.

It's not more work to manage. A post is a post whether it has a topic title attached to it or not. It could only be more work if it ended up increasing the traffic, more total posts to manage, which I think would be a good thing for a forum administrator who's running ads, no?
