Think beyond yourself (husband / wife). Any advice and opinion cannot be generic in nature. We need more facts but I hope they don't have children
A divorce lawyer may teach her to say his behaviour caused neglect in the marriage and she ended up seeking outside comfort. Same as guys going online to seek comfort watching JAVs. She was just seeking thrill online
If kids are involved, he may lose regular access to his kids. Has to pay child maintenance. His kids will grow up in a much more negative environment and it will affect them as adults too. I feel kids are the poorest party in a divorce.
As for division of assets, depends on how long the marriage is and how much assets are accumulated.
Now have no fault based divorce and both parties have to attend co-parenting courses. Not easy for both parties to honestly declare full financial assets. When kids are born, 1 parent may buy insurance savings policies. Some spouses even throw rubbish claims like the other spouse will encash such policies so it's important to buy a similar sized policy with the other parent as an owner. So instead of saving for 2 kid's university fees, they ended up saving for 4 kid's university fees after divorce
