What the guys did were perverted and disgusting, offering up and raping drugged women, and they deserved their sentences.
Their lives and that of their families are ruined.
Honestly, it would have been much better for any each family if the guy died from accident or whatever, at least the family won't be shattered so completely, at least there would be fond memories.
To go to the very core of it, this whole thing did not happen because of opportunity or them knowing each other on this platform.
It happened because they were in essence,
stupid and naive.
They chose to believe they could get away with such a 'victimless' crime, they chose to put their trust and fate of their lives in strangers they got to know online.
I wouldn't even put my trust, much less fate of my life in most of my rl friends, let alone someone from online.
We all have fetishes, obsessions, our own perversions.
Pay for it if you can, if you can't, and believe you can get away with it if no one else knows, see above.
The guys and their families have lost everything.
If you can read this, then you and I can make any plans we want for anytime.
Eat your favourite food, sleep in the whole day, fuck the whole day/week/month, or just plain do nothing and chill.
Not those guys, that life for them is gone.
Even when they are released, none of them will ever reach anywhere near half the life they once had.
Keep your wits and trust close to you, even more so than money.
When opportunity presents itself, ask yourself is it worth it cause you think you won't get caught, or you do not fear the consequence.
Stay safe and smart Brothers, its better to have a boring life and chill here with the rest of us, than to take an even 1% risk that your life ends up like one of the above.
