Almost everything are on the high side in District One, prices of food, drinks, sundry goods, massage entrance fee and even the girls' expectations of tips for HJ. Girls in District Three and Five looks just as good if not better than most girls who work in District One massage joint and HJ can be easily had at between 150,000 and 200,000 dong tips. You should never negotiate the HJ tip in advance and only write down how much you are paying at the end of the session. Most girls will give GFE and their phone numbers just to build up goodwill with customers in the hope of receiving good tips. Some of them will even agree or initiate to go on a coffee date with you after work but will cancel the date at the last minute or simply fail to turn up. It is part of their modus operandi and one you should get used to. Be prepared to be stood up at all time, although there are exceptions from time to time.

There are only a minimal number of girls in such Kwailo-oriented bars that will appeal to Asians. We all know the universal quality of girls that Kwailos are attracted to in Asian countries and beautiful and fair they certainly are not. Girls in similar bars in VUNG TAU looks much better in comparison. Skip them in HCMC unless you are into such girls or really desperate.

USD80 to USD100 are the standard asking prices among freelancers who hang out in discos in District One. Only very rarely will you be able to get them to go lower, unless the girl know you from previous encounter, in that case, you may even get it FOC. and the price only imply having sex with you and may not involve overnight session. Even if you manage to get them to agree to overnight in advance, they will find an excuse to leave after one or two shots. Most of them will only stay till morning only they are really comfortable with you. For those of us used to the generally good attitude of girls in Bangkok, this might be regarded as a blatant ripoff but this is just the way things are in HCMC.
