Some Updates on the Batam Scene

Arrived Batam Ferry Terminal before 10am yesterday by Majestic Fast Ferry. Went through checks on PeduliLindungi/Covid19 Vaccination Cert and immigration with a breeze. Took a 70k IDR ride to our favourite yam fish soup at the Eatern Food Court and made some shopping at BCS, Penuin Market and Grand Batam before checking into our regular hotel in Nagoya.

We thereafter decided to make a quick walking tour of the popular booking joints in Nagoya. As usual we walked past Famosa Hotel which is now under an extensive renovation program probably under a new owner. Happy8 remained closed but its well known sign is now up and posed for quick revival. Next, we went to Segar Massage opp the Hana Hotel to view their girls which appeared to have moved enbloc with their supervisor from MM. Next, we moved on to Hans Inn towards MM, which happyly reopened its door with a few ceweks. Likewise, Sri Kandy was opened with a few ceweks. We continued towards DC Mall to view the previous Bunga Massage. It is now renamed Mawar Massage with a good collection of older ceweks.

It is interesting to note that Batam is now coming alive with a quick revival of many previously popular joints with the Nagoya Foodcourt pretty packed at night. Even the Windsor Food Court is reopened and a new sparking Aston Nagoya is coming alive on 5 Aug 2022 with a 538,200 IDR pricing for its rooms.
