It was actually true in the past in HCM but now it seems that Grab is more expensive by average 25%++ and even more during peak hrs or raining
worst was the waiting time as the demand was more than supply and even when u have a booked driver they took a long time to reach too.....
So this time round we travelled half the time by Grab and the other half by taxi
