I dished out the exact same advice to WLs telling them to be firmer with customers in this regard, but those more soft-hearted ladies still get pushed around.

I remember myself being 10 minutes late because I miscalculated a little taking a new route for the fun of it. The WL, my regular, was surprised that I was late as I'm the type who turns up 10 minutes earlier for any appointment in life. I just told her I would leave on time.

At the end of the day, just be more understanding. She'll be happier too.
