Maybank has recently transfer its business from Malayan Banking Berhad to Maybank Singapore Limited...So now no more call MBB but MSL... 
MSL incorporated in Singapore got the potential to grow better. FD placed in Maybank is as safe as other local bank partly because Maybank is a member of the deposit insurance scheme and all deposits placed with Maybank is insured up to $75000. That means to say if bank become bankrupt, the money is still safe  |
Yes. Average @ 2.05% the highest paid FD rate in Sillypore. And also i am protected by SDIC. So long FD dont exceed 75K....should be ok.
Though is trsf to Spore, but does Maybank Spore still report to KL? Or separate entity altogether? Must be due to my past employment with FI. Used to call those names by abbr....like Maybank as MBB....United Malayan bkg corp as UMBC...
Another Msian bank i like is CIMB (S). Their savings account is giving us 1% for 1st 50k. Better than our peesai local banks saving...only 0.05%
