Good quality and authentic abalone is extremely expensive.
If it is too cheap, maybe it's counterfeited or not properly conserved, not fresh, etc.
Batam is fantastic for local seafood, but for imported goods, I am not sure it's easy to trust retailers.
If you are expert of abalone, you can discriminate quality. I am not.
