Wikipedia says 555 = hahaha (laugh) in Thai and 555 = wuwuwu (sob) in Mandarin Chinese. I bet you are not Thai, however.

This reminds me something different. In Singapore on Sims Av. near Geylang there is a famous small place open 24/24 for Hong Kong style dim sum, named "126", from its real address 126 Sims Avenue.

Now, the first times I was trying to reach it by taxi, I had serious problems with the drivers, as nobody could understand my "non-Singlish" way of saying "one hundred twenty six". Every time, the more I repeated "one hundred twenty six", the less the drivers did understand what place was that. I had to literally drive them along Sims Av. until we found it. Once there, their eyes enlightened and recognized the place.

One night, the driver explained me that 126 is not said as "one hundred twenty six", but as "one two six", or better "Wan Dou Sek", which I do not understand whether it's Chinese (Cantonese 搵到食 = "get something to eat" I learned from the web), or the Singaporean way to pronounce 1-2-6 as "UAN TU SEKS".
Since then, if I am in Singapore and want to go there, I simply say "uandusek" and any taxi driver understands immediately.

I am mouthwatering now. If you don't know it, please note that from that photos it looks a much upper class place than it is actually.
