Hmm so far I stayed in quite a few hotels.

Novotel 6/10
Near to harbour but that's about it. Place is dark as hell and gives me the creeps.

Allium 7/10
Nice and relatively clean. But according to local friends it's located in a bad area. Told to be careful not to walk around alone at night as it's not very safe. Walking distance to kampung bule if you are going to hang out there.

Hans Inn 4/10
Room security is non-existent. Any Tom dick or Harry can just take the lift up. In room safe after opening with master key the password does not reset itself. Don't think I will stay there again.

Biz hotel 7/10
Cleanest I have stayed at. They are the only hotel I have stayed in Batam that has a pure white bathtub unlike the rest that shows yellow stains. Walking distance to my favorite hangout which is brewsky and the link. Also walking distance to utama area massage.

No comments on all the hotel breakfast as I never ever manage to wake up on time for that.
