Since day 1 Horizon ferry started,they already dont accept card payment (cash only).
One thing good about this (for me) is that they accept online reservation w/o the need to make upfront payment 1st. So easier for group trip organizer like myself who often have to make ferry reservation for others,hehehe...i am saying what happen if those who says wish to join in my trip play 'fly aeroplane' when i already allocate a slot for them.
Not like i have not encounter such 'pilots' before,hehehe...so i do take precautions.

Only the Business class passenger at the upper-deck were provided drinking water,sweets,and wet tissues...sometime they even provide Batam Pos or Today newspaper too. But if i were to take the Business class,those free items wouldn't be my priority. I like the priority queue at the Batam custom side which allows me to by-pass all the people in queue.
Which is good for major holidays connected with long weekends.
There is another higher class seat called VIP class,it used to be S$50 and i get a room with 4 seats,so those who paid fo economic class (S$48 per ticket) can come out to be with me in my room,but they increased the price to S$50 for 2 seats somewhere last year.
It dont make anymore sense for me to get those seats thereafter.

There is however one setback,thats No Smoking thru out the ferry ride. Seen a few much older uncle got caught for smoking in the toilet before,must have been really shameful to get single out by the staffs on board the ferry. This is something they lose out to other ferry companies.
And there are definitely rooms for improvement (1 would be that they provide a smoking area,hehehe..).
