I already stated in my earlier posting that Aug 2015 trip is going to be a private group trip. Selected friends only...and i also stated no announcement of dates until i am already in Batam. I just kept my words.
Sept will likely be a newbie group trip.

Not going to share which hotel i am staying in at this point but you are right, it is a 2 star hotel. And no,the issue was not with the girls. Its with the towel. I am looking for the best for least,i booked a cheap 2 star hotel,there was 2 bath towels,2 pillows,1 roll of almost finished toilet paper. So i requested for 2 more bath towels,2 more pillows and 1 more roll of toilet paper. Guess what they say? They say they can give me 2 more pillows and 1 more roll of toilet paper but not 2 more bath towels. So i asked them,is it becos i am only booking a cheap room and deposit my passport instead giving them a 800k deposit thats why they are not giving me the 2 extra towels? They told me no,its their hotel policy that they cannot give me extra towels. So i say if thats the case,give me another room (i will pay for it) and then bring that 2 towels from that room up to me. Then the boss who happens to be there quickly allows my request w/o me having to get an extra room. (i think the staffs was quite shock by my request that sounds very calm at that point time,hehehe...)
When i went down to the reception later again,i explain to the boss (and receptionists) this is the 1st time i had an issue with extra bath towels in so many of my trips to Batam. I also reminds the boss that that this is the 1st time i am in their hotel, i have another 2 more friends coming over the next day to stay in your hotel not counting those that are already there and i am staying in their most expensive room (about 600k),so if you lost me as a customer,you dont lose 1 customer,you lost a whole line of customers with me. All my request was done in a well mannerly manners with all smiles thru out.
There was no safe box in the room too,so i think it is safer to deposit my passport with them. By the way,i like their room, tho it is still quite a distance away from from my ideal room in Formosa,hehehe...it has a potential for getting modified into my ideal room,the peep hole on my room door to see who is outside my room was stuffed with a piece of completely dried up chewing gum which cannot be removed by their maintenance staff.There is a lizard in the eating area too.
