Yes,but Formosa Hotel is undoubtful the MOST expensive ,looking at its prices versus quality versus their location with others. Nagoya Plasa Hotel should also be a fairly good comparable hotel too,well...but for close to similar price,i would choose Formosa Hotel instead,hehehe...
If i wish to save,i would choose Dju Dju Hotel,a newer hotel (2013) yet clean 2 star hotel at S$22.00 (no longer S$23,hehehe...).I have yet to try. No breakfast tho,but who needs breakfast when Instar Hotel coffee shop is so close by,hehehe...from my 1st trip till today,i continue to stay in Formosa not becos of its location nor price or quality anymore,but more becos of its types of room.The whole of Batam,only Formosa has it all. Not even the 6 star Montigo Resort Hotel could come close to it.
Once upon a time in a Hotel name Formosa,a careless friend drops a few stacks of S$50 (amounting to S$3k+ in cash) and goes back up his room w/o realising it,until the receptionist picks it up and send it back to his room around 30 mins later. The receptionist's name is Kusno which i will NEVER forget.
