Tip 1: if you don't like crowds, don't go on weekends.

Tip 8: you may wish to manually set your time to the Indonesian time when you are inside the ferry, which is 1 hour earlier than Singapore time.
Tip 9: do not make noise or use your mobile phones. There were cases last time when Singaporeans were asked to make a u-turn back to Singapore because they were too noisy. Prepare your passport and white card. You can fill in the white card while on the ferry too. The officer will tear off the arrival part on the white card. You keep the departure part of it, which would be used when you are returning.
