Before I learned my lesson, I’ve had “Oh, can you please pay for me first as its easier to settle all later/I don’t have enough for my girl fee tonight/my friend and I will do so later/I need to change currency first” or just guys pretending to be so drunk/in such a hurry to leave with his gal and even one who actually pretended a phone call that was an emergency! Yeah, I’ve had my share – but in my (embarrassed) defense, I must stress that I have been mongering for quite a few years plus of course I do sometimes stupidly over-concentrate on just enjoying myself. Oops!
These parasites are sooooo irritating!

I am very careful of the above...usually state very clear that you need to have money...change to local currency and you need small change to pay tips...so one trip to money changer...than helping them change to smaller denominations...collecting money upfront is the best method to avoid misunderstanding...so to avoid any embarrassment, I usually meet up for kopi to gauge the friend before chiong...
story...once in hcm..we brought gals back for overnight...due to some reason one of the friend's gal cannot stay...friend knock on my door...call my phone...after midnight I usually dun listen or open door...so the hotel phone rang...I answered..."my friend asked if I have smaller change...just when I am about to poke my gal..."...what a disappointment...
I will avoid friends who are not good companion...no longer share the travel dates...
