I cant seem to find any threads with this topic so I started one, forgive me if there is one...


Which is ur take on BKK happening Discos & Clubs, be it pickup or ladydrinks charge?

My past fav disco used to be The Orbit at Soi Sukhumvit 26.
Too bad its closed.


Wat do u guys think of these discos? Anyone been there before?

That is totally not true. whether a place is happening or not depends on the individual tastes and on what you are looking for.

Santika is a must go place for me when I come to Bangkok! Love the people (gal of course) there, they are extremely friendly! The last visit there manage to get phone number from 2 gals, but too bad I can't speak Thai well, didn't follow up.

Been to both Santika n Route66...Found Santika slightly better in terms of pick-up but the prices there are also steeper...One bottle of Chivas will set u back 2000B while Route66 is charging ard 1200B.....

If use phone numbers as a gauge of success then my fave hunting ground should be flix....record was 6 in 1 half hours there....

Route66 only charge 1200B? Thot should be more expensive? (sorry go there i also never pay) Comparable to Rachada Soi 4 discos then where a JW Swing ard 1700B....

I didn't open a bottle there so can't say for sure but my fren told me tis ard 1200B....Anyway, prices in RCA should be cheaper becoz the clientele is mostly uni students....

More certain of the price in Santika coz we ordered a bottle of Chivas with mixers n the bill came up to 2200B....200B for ice n soda....

Ratchada also got discos? Thought mostly MPs? Anyway, now waiting for Bro HTD to recommend new places.....;)

Just came back from BKK yesterday. Had some great time there as well. I have been to Hollywood at Ratchada on Tuesday, and I have been there quite a few times. It's mostly more mature crowd and lots of foreigners. I like that place because of less fighting and troubles. Babes there also quite good. 1 litre Whisky cost around 1300THB. I think it's quite a good bargain. Pick up 3 babes that night! Haha!

U mean they overcharge me?? But I checked with the other patrons n they also paid the same price for a bottle so I guess I wasn't ripped off.....

To be fair, a bottle there is less than $100 so comparatively it is still cheaper than Sg...but my expectations was 1000B coz thats was what my frens paid for a bottle of Red label at RCA last time...So a few hundred diff is ok given Chivas' premium status over Red but was abit taken aback when it cost double the price....Nonetheless, I have not truly explore all most of the clubs in BKK yet so will do more in depth price analysis on my next trip....;)

speaking of fights in clubs, i met one in ZEED ratchada, its beside hollywood i remembered. as soon as i saw bouncers trying to pull apart 2 gangs of guys i left the place. bout half a yr ago, probably my first n last visit there cause it wasn't so happening a club to begin with. :cool:

i find the term "pick up' is used very loosely in this forum. "pick up" as in paid sex or foc sex or just get to know and collect mobile numbers only?

i think samsters here like to collect phone numbers in Thailand. but what are the followup success rate? very low. if able to score, on the night itself will get free bonk liao. where got time to court the girl? waste time leh. haha. :p

Btw last time when I was at Slim, I actually bump into a GRO formerly working in Ibarr...What a small world! Haha...Anyway, RCA Slim really has alot of babes n is really packed! The babes squeeze my body here squeeze my body there, make me feel so violated....:p

Actually having your own phuu ying is good for information gathering. I got info from mine as she went to most disco. As for the 'Pick Up', what I meant is get to know and make friends and get number for future use... That night can't go further coz phuu ying around. I'll get further next round.:p

Hahaha just making a comment nia. Definitely feel safer when u see the security staff doing their job. But its good to have a girl who knows her way around joints. Gather info first then attack. Intelligence is the key to winning any battle. My girl brought me to forte when she wanted to meet her hometown kaki who claimed to be a singer there. So off we went, one hour into the gig still no sign of her kaki. Called her mobile but no one answered then my girl caught her dancing on the bar-top and waved to her. She came over and joined us but later had to go sit with some men. Opened a bottle of chivas for 2000THB i think. cannot remember cos the thai guys kept coming over to jio us drink. Was dead stoned that night cos my girl and i finished off one bottle. My first foray into a joint like forte but was thoroughly enjoyable.:)

Actually I find the security staff there more friendly than the club bouncers in Sg.....

Anyway, its always good to have a girl that knows her way to ur desire.....:D
