ic checkin is mostly for thai locals, if u hold non-local ic, they will let u in without checkin the age, the most only glance at it nia...openin bottle will further boost the red carpet treatment if u so sway sway kena shutoff by the bouncers ;)

best bet would be like wat they said RCA Route66, Slim or Inch/Bayan Tree wheres most youngsters hang out...or jus find any syt on the road n simply ask them which disco definitely will allow below20, better stil if they can bring you there haha:cool:

Difficult question coming up now, guys - if you only have enough time to visit one place out of Santika and Song Seleung, which one should it be, and why? Which one would be considered more sanuk for local Thai girls? Answers on a postcard, please..

Song Saloong.

1. Santika might be a tad too loud if you actually want to say anything.

2. Song Saloong has a Thai band with Thai songs, which Thai chicks love to death.

3. Song Saloong has a decent outdoor sitting area where you can smoke/talk/drink, as compared to the really tiny area at Santika.

Btw, Baryan Tree has 2 outlets, side by side.
1 is called Baryan Tree Maxx (bigger, thai band, with cushion seats), another is called Baryan Tree Mixx (Hiphop music, more cramped with more people dancing hiphop)

i have took numerous times of taxi for 5 person during july.no extra charges or so but plz choose a decent taxi nt those blue and red smaller size taxi if nt u will squeeze like mad behind

Doesn't Santika have local Thai bands performing as well? I assume the ones at Song Saleung are better then..

By the way, what does it take to "reserve" a seat or a couple of seats there? Everyone buys a bottle anyway so is it simply first-come-first serve? Or do I have to call and commit a minimum spending amount (like the downright blatant discriminatory guidelines we have in practice here)?

It's going to be my first time there and I'll be bringing my girl along for the ride. Considering how many hot girls I can expect to meet there (based on the many reviews I've read), this might not sound like a good idea! :p

How about giving the waiters a big tip and guaranteeing a table? Does it work like that? I just don't want to be caught standing the entire night listening to a band play songs I don't understand, as I'm aware that it can get ridiculously packed. If I wanted to stand an entire night I would have volunteered my services in this year's NDP contingent. :p

Most times in Santika, u will end up standing..thats the way its built there mate...though there are high stools and counches, any decent guy there, shouldn't be on one...offer it to the gals...they will be most appreciative **hint hint**...Fri and Sat are F%^&* Packed...so best to avoid it like the plaque and chances of u scoring are slim....better days are the slow days, but write Monday off though.

As fr bringing a date there..Hmmm, it all depends on wat yr objectives there are Bro...if u wana meet new ppl and and hav fun and "Yap senG" with yr neighbours all nite long, then its best to go with yr guy fredzs...if they look as good as the latest Thai stars, yr nite is garanteed Fun FUN FUN filled...they will sus u out ...starts with the casual stares, then the "Cheers", then the dance, then the Dirty Dance, then the heavy carassing, then the "talk", then the supper, Then the *****.

BTW; dont giv the pop-corn gals a miss, man they r just slurpeliousely good!!!

Oh just one more thing, no point tipping on a weekend (fr a table) there are none, if u go late (unless upstairs...but nuthing ever happens there) , even if they put u upfront, its a shared table, packed like F%^&* sardines and HOT like Hell...IMHO, best giv it a miss
