there is 1 chicken rice shop juz opposite old lee garden hotel.. mayb u can try there.. as for roasted pork, u can try the shop selling roasted duck, char siew n roasted pork shop juz behind mayflower hotel.. I think tat is not bad too.. their sausages is nice too.. :)

or mayb other senior samsters here can tell give u a more detail location...:)

Another good options / alternatives - is to go to the NEO Hatyai hotel and along the road , not far, u can see a lot of customers gathering for the siow bak - if not mistaken one of the tops in the market . Pork legs and soups too.

Also, opposite the BP new suite - u go along and come to the Betong Chicken Rice shop - most probably a branch from the Betong area. Both places do have nice food.

Actually in Hatyai u get nice cuisine - both cheap and affordable if compared to Changmai ( hardly able to find good Chinese food )and Bangkok ( quite a distance to travel to sample good food). Enjoy your makan.

If u r sporean, u can give chicken rice a miss cos majority of sg chicken rice more or less is better than HY. As for siew bah, most of the shop in HY is better than sg.

1) How long is the stamp validity when you enter LOS by bus? (chop passport)
2) Are there any DFS or can i still bring a 1L btl in?

is 2 weeks from sadao checkpoint if u r holding singapore passport.
B4 u reach msia custom, the bus will stop at the last eating place. There is a DFS shop.. u can buy from there.. the shop will help u to carry the goods pass msia custom. U will collect ur goods after the msia custom using a tag n ur receipt.. the shop will instruct u wat n where to collect it. When u reach thai border, u only need to bring ur belongings down the coach n leave ur DFS stuffs in the coach will do.. hope u understand wat I mean.. lol

The newest The Bed Hatyai Hotel had opened for business just less than a week ago. Partial of this hotel is available for check in while the rest will be complete next month. However just another option for accommodation, not suitable for budget traveller.
