I am more budget type. You can try Be My Guest at 600 Baht per night. It is more of a motel and wifi connection seem to be working strong most of the time.

Bro I do agree with you on this.

Would definitely like to try other hotels for a change.

The hotels I've tried so far are:

1) Siam City - an old hotel, don't think I'll be back
2) New Season - ok hotel but price always increasing, wifi could be better
3) Mayflower - ok hotel but situation a bit like New Season and always crowded

Maybe I'll try BP or Sakura next time :D

Bro BP Tower dun try u sure regret. Room , corridor and lift all stink. BP Grand Suite not bad, last year stay there for 2n , 2nd and 3rd lvl no wifi.

Oh, I just check the map, its quite far away from Lee Garden Plaza. I presume that every time u leave this hotel to shopping, makan, etc u need to take a tutu bah? And the surrounding should be nothing much?

Actually not a bad idea to stay away from the city centre considering the security threat posed by the terrorists..... intel received that security forces going to be beefed up for the coming Ramadan period as they expect the extremists to strike again during this period.

You do have strange habit...... normally people will stay away when there is known danger situation.... but you find it interesting instead. You would do well in a career as a war correspondent. :D

Anyway ups you my humble point.

its interesting but i wouldnt look forward to it. I was there in 2012, just a few streets away, when Lee Garden was blown up.. it was total chaos. Business in Hatyai was all affected and it took quiet awhile before business pick up again.

That's for now...... but with the winds blowing northwards it is moving there.
Singapore sky has been clear this past two days and southern Malaysia haze is easing but KL and upper Malaysia is bearing the brunt of the haze now. If the wind direction does not change course..... then the haze will reach Danok. :)
