muddymudpie: my own take ? Forming gang is inviting unwanted attention and also is the best way to burn money :D :D

monteroman: Havana has girls who hit in white, but a fair number do go with non- as they are all not the high class they paint themselves to be .. atleast I know one girl in Havana, who is worknig as a mall assitant earning 4,500 peso a month, and legs it to Havana only once or twice a month .. never more ..

Of course, watch out for the LBs outside the Chicago coffee ..

Re: phillipines, manaila, makati

You can buy SIM cards in 7-11 there, and no freaking IC / registration .. (no wonder somebody sent a scam text to the president and they couldn't figure out who did it .. )

For those going to Manila, as I been repeating, get a cheap phone here, get a SMART SIM with roaming, in Lucky plaza, or as you reach there, so you can easily hook up girls ..

IF you are an outgoing guy, keep the Phil #, and if you see a nice looker in the malls, under the pretext of buying something, just ask her if she wanna catch up for a drink later .. and not always, but 75%, you may get a positive response .. and if you give your Sing #, they will happily take it and note this - NEVER CONTACT YOU, considering that a text to Sing # is almost 1/3 of their daily pay ... Filipinas don't like to disappoint you, so instead of saying "no, i can't contact you on your Singapore #' they will smile and say yes, and then do nothing .. ;)

if you give a Phil #, the response will be fast and great .. :D

PS: above all from my own personal experience ;) And if you are fair skinned, the chance of hit rate multiplies or even becomes 10X !!

If you're using SMART prepaid card, you can surf using 3g but you have to enable it , and I only know how to do it on iphone... but it's pretty expensive, they bill every 30 minutes for 10 php i think , so usually I only use it when there's an emergency or when bored, then turn on / off every 10 mins :)

Or if you're power user - ie always out and about:
Smart -
Unli Surf Daily P50 / day
Unli Surf Weekly P300 / Week
Unli Surf Monthly P1,200 / month

Globe -
50 day
220 / 5 days
999 / 30 days

and if you don't have any thing of Classified nature, you can always find that a net cafe around the corner maybe cheaper .. and most if not all, are run by Koreans .. but, it is prudent to change the password when you are back in Sillypore .. ;)

Re: phillipines, manaila, makati

aye there are many times I wanna go sammy boy to check for info in china..
I have to result in doing it sekretly lol without getting stares from the folks around me..
Some times view half way, got someone walk pass then have to minimize.. and check coast is clear..

Then there are times where I am just bored, walking around in a foreign land.. whip out my phone go to one corner and plan for the hunt of the night.

Of course still can kum cheng sinkie charbor thru whatsapp when you have no action at night. So to me it a worthy tool hahaha
Or rx some naughty pictures for self servicing from gf/wify if really in a pinch.

So yeah, data sim for me is a must.. if not my mobile debauchery lifestyle cannot sustain it's links hehe

haha.. all these very good uses for mobile broadband that I've never thought of .. i'm just using it for reading ST or Time

And checking messages on IMO / Skype :S

But having a local mobile number is a must in PH, the nation of "texters" (SMS in Sg-speak)

Re: phillipines, manaila, makati

hehe i think in general, to open doors you need a pass.
There are more ways to use a tool such as a phone nowdays..

Good phone with good picture screen size of good quality photos will give you and edge to keep them captivated when hunting in foreign land.
Makes you more credible and exotic

Since the phone is out, they'll just enter their phone number in.. hehe
Take a picture of her at the same time for good time sake.. maybe you can get lucky if she's narcissistic and appeals to her ego..

" Pick-Pocket Teams At It Again- Warning For Tourists And Ex-pats Alike

They seem to come and go and right now they are definitely here. Maybe when there have been too many complaints that the police can’t ignore them any longer and they just have to start doing something about them that the groups will disappear. Most likely they go to some other town and continue their game.

One group is currently working between Check Point and the Clarkton Hotel. They work in a group for various reasons, one of course is for protection in the event that someone catches them red-handed and wants to beat the crap out of them. Another reason is because they work a plan. Several will get on a jeep and crowd a victim. One of them, usually a woman will drop some coins at the victims feet. When the victim bends over to assist the girl picking up her coins the guy sitting 2 spots over will reach around the guy between himself and the victim and lift the victim’s wallet. He quickly removes the cash and sticks the wallet under the seat and kicks it away from himself.

Another technique, for guys that don’t carry a wallet is to use a razor and cut open the victim’s front pocket. These groups are trained professionals so it isn’t wise to take them lightly and just keeping your wits about you may not be enough. If you are riding a jeep and someone drops something at your feet.. that's a signal that the game is on... don't even think of bending over to help. Stare at everyone around you and make sure they see that you are paying very close attention to their every move. Never to carry anything valuable in your pockets and only take enough money to accomplish what you plan for your day or night.

One particularly large team is now working on McArthur Hwy between Fields Ave and Robinsons Mall. When a jeep stops one young guy runs up and takes a look to see if there are foreigners riding inside, if so he tells the driver to wait for a minute and he signals his accomplices. About 8 to 10 guys varying in age from early 20 to mid 50’s will pile into the jeep and purposely crowd the victim. With 2 or 3 guys pushing and brushing against you it’s hard to focus on protecting your back pockets. All they want is the cash, they have no use for cards, either credit or debit. Taking a trike is considerably more expensive and haggling with a trike driver is a pain in the ass but in the long run is a whole lot cheaper and probably more convenient. Again, no matter where you’re going don’t carry any more money with you than you require. "

Credit to Heyjoe.

Have to read this and be careful. You may bring whatever you like however don't blame anyone if you lost any of valuable belonging. Thanks to bro ZIEBART

From NAIA Terminal 3, you may take the shuttle bus at PHP20 to the bus terminal located at the intersection of Taft Avenue and EDSA in Pasay City, next to MRT-3 Taft Avenue Station. At this terminal, you may also board the Genesis bus to Dau terminal.

If you insist to take Victory Liner bus, you could walk across over to the Kabayan hotel and then against the traffic direction while the MRT track on your right, walk about 500m to reach Victory Liner terminal.

Take note only NAIA Terminal 3, not Terminal 1 & 2.

Have fun!

Re: phillipines, manaila, makati

My experience says - buy in NAIA .. anything you bring from overseas will be considered duty payable .. especially when the Customs don't want to loose face to their fellow countrymen .. unless you are in T3, T1 and T2 are both like Shark territory .. they will look at every foreigner with a microscope, and let the kababayans free ..

What are you planning to take there anyway ?

quick notes... cafe havana in greenbelt makati is more for caucasians. girls there are the exotic type (you know what i mean). for real good parties with gorgeous people, go to The Fort which is just about 3 kms away from greenbelt makati area.

since phils is not really a rich country, there are a number of FLs who are cute students needing financial support once in a while. they are the real jackpot if you go for the fresh ones. regaerds

Hi, which bar in Fort are you refering to?
