Quick Orchard Towers FR (16 Oct 2022, Sunday)

Upon hearing news of the imminent demise of OT, I decided to go back to my usual haunts pre-covid days - Ipanema - because the band is good, they have live football on and plenty of eye-candy. Wanted to catch Liv v Man City, have a nice beer, look at tits and ass and listen to the band. First time I go back after Covid.

So go in, and to my disappointment, the place got smoke smell, like the ventilation never maintain, let the smoke from the smoking room come out.

Then no EPL playing, no band playing. Then the girls there, wow, very little, like half of pre-covid days. Crowd also smaller, I've been here on Sundays before and seldom so quiet.

Usually Ipanema has a lot of ladies, 80% ugly and 10% avg and 10% smokeshow. It was the same yesterday but with the quantity so low, the really hot ones can count on one hand.

Worst part is now they asking $500 ST. Pre-covid it was $300 ST. And even so can nego down. Now opening is $500, and average looking gal from HCM asking. (Side note: $500 ST was the asking rate in Brix pre-covid, now Brix ST is $800, sadly, Brix closed till next year).

I mean wtf, my pay never increase during covid, how come they can ask for more? Maybe I ask my boss for more money!

Why suddenly got inflation? Is it demand more than supply? No. Plenty of babes. In fact, got less customers as SG got less visitors.

Is it to recoup loss from past 2 years? If so, I expect prices to drop eventually, but I doubt it will.

Does it cost more to fly here, to stay here? Partly, but not justify to increase by 66%.

So I left and checked out the other spots. Wow, sad. Top5 gone for good. Crazy Horse still around. Massage places still around, same ladies. My fave Thai makan place at the upper floors closed down.

Sorry for the rant, just had a shitty night.

The only saving grace is the House of Boat Noodle on the ground floor. Very nice. Had a meal and then left to watch the match elsewhere. Goodbye Orchard Towers, it was a good run. Fuck you covid, you ruined so many things.

Try asking the girls again at 2-3 am. ST rate may drop significantly when they are desperate not to end the night empty handed.

But it has been many years since I brought a girl out from ipanema. No idea about the rate now.
