You will have to tell the tuk tuk that you want to go to "Log Terrace" which sound like "lord Terran".

It is immediately after Hansa...the famous LB show at one time.:D

Easiest way is to have a long tour guide cum pillow.....you will get lost again!:D

It is still there but the food have gone down a bit nevertheless it is a very nice experience.

My Thai lady friend bought me there many times as it is quiet and romantic according to her.:D

For Log Terrace, it shouldn't be a problem as it is also very famous place as a tourist dinner destination.

If everything fails then it is very easy, walk into any tour agency, they will definitely know the place then asks them politely to help to write down the place in Thai then pass it to the tuk tuk. :D:D

Hmm, I will try to answer you but might not be accurate.

1) It should be around 15bahts per trip but foreigner like you and me normally give 20 bahts as they hardly give you back the change and there is also a recent hike in price due to petrol increase in Thailand, so it might be 20 bahts already. But if you are going to a further places out from the town center then they might ask for 30 bahts or more like to Log Terrace, okay!
2) Good, I Know but cheap and good.....I dunno how to answer you as when good no cheap, when cheap normally no good. I would recommend New Sessons or Mayflower or even Novotel. As they are near to the centre of shopping area within walking distance.:D

The question to be asked should be "Safe or not safe" in view of the current situation there instead of cheap or no good. :D

My regular tour guide says to stay away from :
a. Railway station area
b. Market place
c. Bus terminus
d. Businesses owned by Yellow shirt

Very safe places are those run by red shirt supporters :p
(hint: look for hotels, shops, business that have picture of Thaksin placed somewhere visible to the public inside the premises)

Ever since the bombings, I did not stay around there anymore. It is up to each bro wish. If cheap hotel, 300-500 also have, they may be good for me, wonder if you are looking for 5 star standard at these rate? ;)

"The House" room charge 550 baht per night, with fridge, wifi, 25-32" LCD TV , new bed, nicely refurbish apartment hotel.
The House-1
The House-2
The House-3
The House-4
The House-5
The House-6
The House-7
The House-8

Cheers

LOL yes, me too that is why I stayed in the town center everywhere can walk.

It is very subjective about cheap, to some people 1,500 bahts per night is cheap but to some 600 bahts and above is considered expensive. So difficult question!:D

Sorry for the general question ask , thanks for the reply .:)
The New Sessons or Mayflower would roughly cost about 800 to 1000 for std room which is a bit expensive but it is new & hv good location . The House seem good can consider.
Haven`t been to Hatyai for about 10 year suddenly feel like going again after reading this thread. This thread is Poison:D
