Haha bro, your activities in HDY is quite similiar to me.My main activites in HDY is temple visiting and food.my must do things in hatyai is visit four face buddha,Acarn tong temple and donation of ang pows to the old folks home.In the early morning will go kim yong market to give alms to walking monks.Evening probably will pop down to West side saloon or post laser for music and some drinks. After drinks, will call masseuse to room for a 2 hour massage and any happenings will depends on chemistry with the masseuse.

Yes bro,the chizhar stall at wangnoy is good and value for money.Used to eat there too.One more is the shop opposite new seasonhotel inside the lane called 姐妣。

Shopping in Hatyai is very much cheaper than in BKK or other parts of LOS. My neighborhood clothing store aunty used to fly to BKK to get her stocks from Pratunam..... now she goes to Hatyai for the same stocks at cheaper price.
Somehow I cannot figure out why the same products from the same Pratunam wholesaler is being sold in Hatyai at half the price that is retailing in BKK. ?

Depends on what you are shopping for...... personally I find the electronics products and clothings in Hatyai is cheaper than BKK.
For food, leather products and automobile parts BKK can get better price.
Most attractive is the adventure gears & equipment..... damn bloody cheap and excellent varieties.... even cheaper than our Beach road market. :D

I think they are more concerned about dealing with the flooding than the terrorists at this moment. I understand some areas in Songkla and the outskirts of Hatyai is being evacuated.

When an area is flooded... how do you bomb the area? Not likely scenario unless the terrorists are Navy SEAL trained. :D

Are you in Hatyai now? Strange that tonight's news on CNA reported flooding in Songkhla and some districts including Hatyai..... the camera showed footage of the Sleeping Buddha temple with surrounding area flooded.
The dam at the river which passes by Hatyai is already at 91% full capacity and will overflow into the riverbanks if the rains do not stop.
