Re: Poi Pet (Cambodia)

I have a motorbike and spent an entire night combing everywhere in Poipet.

These are the locations of clusters of brothels. They have a massage sign with a photo of a massage outside, but not always. I was quoted $8 by a SYT for FS and $50 for overnight in 2020.

The point circled in red is where the SW hang out. $30 for overnight as of 2020.

I rode everywhere, including along the shantytowns along the border and along the south of the railroad. I was unable to find any "chicken farms" and tuk tuk drivers didn't know what I was referring to when I asked them where the "chicken farm" / កសិដ្ឋានចិញ្ចឹមមាន់ was.

Yes boom boom is universally understood in ASEAN countries. :p

By the way have you cut down on travelling due to Wuhan virus outbreak?

On 18 Dec 2019 I flew to Wuhan and then return spore on 28 Dec 2019.
Then on 25 Jan 2020 I went Vietnam and Cambodia and return spore on 5th Feb 2020.
I then went genting several times.

Right now there's no more coronavirus in whole of China except in Wuhan which hv only 35 new cases yesterday. By the end of this month, Wuhan tianhe international airport will be open again.

I've been to poipet only once to gamble in crown genting hotel. I didn't recce the place yet.
It's so amazing that there's only 1 coronavirus detected in whole of Cambodia inspite of so many China people in siihaniukville.

My wechat with a Wuhan girl about the number of coronavirus in china

Is "chicken farm" / កសិដ្ឋានចិញ្ចឹមមាន់ only something that westerners use? Do local Khmer people never use this term?

Boom boom is too general. It can mean massage, KTV, streetwalkers, etc. I'm specifically looking for a red light area / chicken farm.

Wow you're really lucky to survive the ordeal.
The dates you're in Wuhan was the window period where the infection just started to spread!

I'm actually shocked that a veteran (亲爱的老公:D) like you who is much older than me can actually believe China's statistics! :p

I have never been to PoiPet but have been traveling to Koh Kong, PhnomP, Siam Reap, SHNV for many many times for the past three years, all went well except some overcharged inter state transport cost which is understandable.

Simple Thai can goes a long way communicating there as Cambodian can receive Thai TV channels and speak the language well.

Next trip, must try PoiPet then....

1000% I believe because in February I was in sihanoukville for a week and I have gone everywhere in sihanoukville.

In addition, I am in constant contact with a local sihanoukville cambodian lady casino staff and until now, there's not even a single new coronavirus victim and none of her casino or hotel staff got any coronavirus disease.

Coronavirus is a contagious disease but not deadly. Those who died are those who were already weak such as old or with existing ailments. In addition, it's being said that you can only be infected with coronavirus once only, just like chicken pox. Because it's not a deadly disease, that's why we can recover and many hv recovered.

Because Cambodians lived in a harsh unhygenic environment, obviously they have stronger immune system. I therefore suspect that their stronger bodily immune system may have contributed to them having very little coronavirus infection.

Those who don't believe in China's statistics, news or speeches are those who were very heavily brainwashed by the west, namely the Americans and British propagandas, and these are those who are mostly English educated people.

nonsense. there is basis for believing that China Govt like to hide information and make people with unpopular views and opinions disappear. it is not a propaganda the Chinese Govt routinely tried to hide information from the public and also detain and make people disappeared for revealing information or discussing thing that the Central Govt is not happy about. I think you are the one who are brainwashed. if the Western societies are so scary, you wouldn;t see so many mainland Chinese and Asians routinely trying to migrate there and buy property and settle down there. if they are brainwashing you, why migrate there and allow yourself to be brainwashed..

is this propagand ? https://www.scmp.com/news/china/soci...-risks-telling

why do you so readily believe a Central Govt that want to control all flow of information. .if you think such a govt will always make the right decision and has zero self-interet and personal agenda, it looks like you are brainwashed one here.

A person who grew up in a Muslim society believes Muslims can't be wrong.
A person who grew up in an authoritarian society believes that the dictator is god.

I feel fortunate that I live in a society with no censorship; I am free to read both the New York Times as well as the Chinese Global Times. I can openly criticize Donald Trump without repercussion. The back pages of the New York Times has pro-Trump as well as anti-Trump opinions. I don't see any anti-Xi opinions on any page of the Global Times.
