I believe the one u mentioned near the railway station is outside Robinson, right? If yes, then its not "Ber Tai". There are more than 1 pasar malam style night markets in Hatyai.

i just went there this month and taxi from airport was at 320 baht. But me being a solo traveller, i took the minivan at 100 baht instead.

Taxi rate to hotel from airport is baht 400 and mini bus is baht 150. This is btought at the airport counter. The fee has been increased. Maybe you are handsome, fees are lower or I am ugly and therefore incur surcharge. Bros going there can check and verify.

Bro Aceyfox, the pasar malam i mention is definitely not outside Robinson. This Robinson u name is still within walking distance. There is a night market near railway station which journey from tutu is ard 10-15mins. This Pasar Malam i mention sells mostly clothes and some eateries. I believed this is the one u all mention.

Bro vkoolboi, where u bought ur airport taxi? Is it at the counter after u exit the airport building where u see a small counter with a chair and table plus those wearing yellow uniform staffs hanging around there(non-aircon)? Or u bought it inside the counter once after u clear the custom where only one or 2 ladies seated at the counter (air-conditional) with the prices stated on the wall behind them?

Hi Bro hawk88:), I bought the voucher inside the airport. On exiting the immigration, there is a small office on the right manned by 2 ladies within the airport building. They sell taxi and mini bus vouchers. When they quoted me Baht 400, I asked them how come so expensive. They said that they raised the price since last month and it was because of higher fuel charges.:mad:

I didn't explore those selling taxi vouchers outside the airport building. :confused:

Actually in Hatyai airport there is no need to buy taxi voucher from counter.
Usually there will be some drivers with empty cars going back to hatyai town as they were hired for 1-way journeys by the tour agencies for their customers. These drivers will hang around the arrival hall and you can negotiate a price with them.... many can speak simple english or hokkien.

Not worth the hassle and trouble. 250b or 320b or 400 b ..at most extra 100 to 200b which is peanuts. When just arrived and tired, need a good shower and hit the ground to grab chicks so I don't mind just pay bit extra so can get out of airport and go downtown to hotel fast :D

This is quite true if you are like me, the Loser type of guy who has to pay money to get honey. I was with Bro J and he was damn good - good stamina, good conversationalist and basically a good guy. The girls all flocked to him and he enjoyed himself much like a King. I also not bad because I tagged along with him.

Didn't expect myself to enjoy so much in this trip.:)

You can try Wangzi Hotel (I think this is the name of the hotel), 2nd floor - Nice Lady Lounge. The girls provide massage and sex. After 12 midnight, you can take the girl to your room for about Baht 2000. Can't remember the exact damage. The whores are very well dressed and put on nice make up. You are not wrong. Hatyai is pale shadow of its former self.
It is for those who like farming at those day farms where the overall quality is CMI and very poor. For me personally I never liked farming as I prefer evening gals at lounges/clubs. The last time I was there, did not manage to pick up gals for LT as quality was not great so just ended up ST with CP4 model. These days I go Hatyai for short chill out stopover trip to enjoy the food, cheap drinks and quiet environment before departing for bigger better non stop action in BKK. :D

Bro Acmilan, because of cheongster/people who dun mind the hassle, people who dun mind paying more for what they like, they spoil market. Tats y price keep increasing. It's not about u paying 20 baht or 50baht or even more. This sharing forum is why pay more when u can pay lesser, correct? Of cos most of us can afford to pay more but what for if we know the price.

What gets me pissed off is people quibbling and pettying about tens of baht on airport/transport fares etc. Like storm in a teacup. Like women shopping and quarrel and arguing abt trivial matters. It is not like they have to go to and from airport every day. If they quibble about WL prices or hotel prices I can understand cos we eat WL and sleep hotel everyday so over the whole trip it can add up to a lot.
That is where I am coming from.

cos people do not go out of SG just for cheaper prices. Ever wonder that it could be the better quality of the stocks, food, environment and breakaway from the stress and pressure of the little red dot?? Not everything is about $$ :D

Hatyai is boring to visit for more than 1 night. You can try head over to Danok to see look. Most of Hatyai hot girls have moved to Danok.
