Heard from new that floods in Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Trang, Songkhla, Phangnga and Krabi had begun to subside and the situation was expected to return to normal soon.

It is dry now in Hatyai and there is not a flood even this time....normally it is hot and dry for Songkran!:D

By the way, during the flooding in the regions of Chumpom, ST, NKSW, etc, Hatyai was never flooded. I was there in Hatyai all along, but it did rain, that's all. :p

But I did some precaution by avoiding staying at hotels with basement carparking.:o

This is far more objective news from man on the ground, than "scare" copy/paste bits from some armchair newsman here. When I did Hdy/Danok ride last weekend, same dryground and cabbie also clarified on those affected areas. I'd also pointed out at the wet/dry spots on flood map early last week (rather than just screaming headlines).

Don't worry, if you arrive late, go Soi 2....... start from 7pm, have many SYTs.:D

Ride straight to Florida Hotel (after passing Diana), there is a junction that when you turn right, gets your to Lee Garden.

Soi 2 is on the next street, after this junction.

So turn right at Florida Hotel junction and about 200-300 meters, make a left to the next street and look for Soi 2. Actually, it is only a 200 meter walk from Florida Hotel.....:D

Choke dee and sabai sabai.....

Bro, there are quite a bit of info on the other 2 areas, which start from morning. By noon, most better puyings would be gone. Then come this Soi 2 thingy.

You really have to be a little familiar with Hatyai. Otherwise, it is like telling you all over again. I am not expert in Hatyai, just that I happened to be there and remember some places. May end up chicken telling the duck where is where.
