Just got back from hatyaai. This is the time to go just before CNY. Stock were plentiful among the farms at see kim yong and the price has gone down at least 500baht compared to my last visit few months back.Went to a farm in see kim yong to see see look .Initially i had no intention to book coz i got the dancer in Kiss channel to think for. But this syt damn KL, she took the initiative to talk to us and instantly i 'on' her.She proved her worth coz her service is tip top. Hat Yai cracks down on clubs

SONGKHLA : The fire at the Santika pub has sounded alarm bells for the Hat Yai municipality to crack down on night entertainment venues which fail to meet safety standards.

A safe venue is one where there are at least three or four access points and a fire exit which is a minimum 90cm wide, according to Prachuap Maneechote, head of building control at Hat Yai municipality planning office.

Mr Prachuap said the building code also stipulates that there should be an emergency exit at least 60cm wide.

In the Santika fire, soon after midnight on Jan 1, 64 people were killed and many more injured.

"The foam insulation st Santika pub is to blame for the tragedy," Mr Prachuap said.

"When wall insulation made of combustible materials catches fire, there's no telling how fast the fire can spread. Also, the Santika pub had undergone several modifications with more combustible materials added to its design."

Mr Prachuap said the insulation for the emergency exit and fire escape should be durable and fire-resistant.

Venues should also be equipped with alarm systems and there should be at least two hand-held fire extinguishers visible for use in an emergency.

"The Santika pub fire has raised concerns, so it's necessary to inspect the safety standards at Hat Yai's nightlife venues," he said.

The Building Control Act requires inspectors to look into the structural durability of a building, its life cycle, the ventilation system, fire prevention and safety measures.

Mr Prachuap said six entertainment venues in Hat Yai district will come under close inspection in the next week. At least one has failed to meet safety standards and a change in the building structure will be needed to ensure the safety of patrons.

One club patron, Chatuporn Srichalerm, 21, said his favourite hangout has few exits, most of which were too narrow.

The outlet is one of the six pubs to come under investigation.

"If a fire breaks out at the pub, I'll look for the waiters because they know the escape routes and I'll follow them," he said.

Another night owl, Watchara Pinkaew, 22, said the Santika fire would not prevent him from clubbing.

But he hoped pub owners would hope to win back customer confidence by improving safety measures.

Pol Col Supawat Tapkiew, the Hat Yai police station superintendent, said there was only a remote possibility the tragedy at Santika would be repeated at a nightclub in Hat Yai because the number of clubbers at the southern city's venues usually does not exceed the attendance limit.--- KatoeyNewsNetwork

Yeap Exia00 is 100% correct and if the rooms is fully booked and the remaining rooms available will be far from town like Florida or Diachii but then they will charge you a high sky price as they know that you will pay and will not sleep in the street....!:D
