How do you account for the fact that there are now acupuncture clinics in hospitals such as NUH and TTSH?

Is it all just placebo effect, or is it just the case that western medicine has not really understood how acupuncture really works?

Much of TCM relies on herbal remedies for its curative effects. Many of these herbs are unfamiliar to western medicine. Does that necessarily mean that it's all therefore just placebo? Does western medicine know everything there is to know?

It's too easy to dismiss TCM. Have you really investigated its effectiveness or otherwise?
