Dear friends,

Have just completed a trip to Hatyai (returned on 12 Apr 2007 - 5 days 4 nights). Am not going into details since these have mostly been covered in the past; just some additional pointers of what I have observed.

(a) Water festival was supposed to start only midnight of 12 Apr (or morning of 13 Apr) but instead, started on 12 Apr itself. Main actions are in the golden triangle (in front of Lee Garden, etc). Other locations - depend on your luck. For the hotel we stayed in (think Sing Golden Palace or something, opposite Hatyai Garden Home, 820 baht, girl told me the place is new, there is no praying done yet and hence, got dirty thing, me did not see / sense though), we were ambushed when the tuk tuk stopped at the hotel. Overall, fun. Booking fee went up, booked the girl till 12 Apr am for 2K but was told the fee for booking is 3K for 12 Apr itself (though was offered 2K since I already booked her for a couple of days). If you do not have a girl and want to book one from farm during a holiday like the water festival, good luck cause was told office closed at 1000hrs since ALL girls were booked. Evening time passed by porsche (think near Sakura grand view), however, still quite a number of girls seated outside, can try though me did not (on way to airport);

(b) Sugar beat - a Thai pub not to be confused with The Pubb. Drink is cheap with two bottles of hard liquor (not sure what brand) going at under 500 baht. Has got a 6 / 7 inch pool table here though. Place is near CP-4 (the massage place);

(c) Took a van to Danok to try out Spider (van costs 1.2K baht). Spider is somewhat like LSB in Msia. Do note, the girls (and guys - e.g. captain) there suck your $$ like no tomorrow. Also, watch out for 'boys' (i.e. she-male). The first one that sat with me is a 'she-male', realised only after 5 minutes, immediately sent her on the way. Van ride was about an hour;

(d) Airport tax - think was reported somewhere that this is now covered in the air ticket. Truly, from own experience, did not pay 700 baht at the airport;

(e) Exchange rate - 22.80;

(f) Farms - think See Kim Yong is really going down, not many girls around. More options at Channivate. Just get the tuk tuk to stop at (think) SK Hotel and walk around, cannot miss;

(g) For Channivate, one popular farm (in my view, name sounds like 'Pizza') has shifted from the main stretch. Walk past Suriya (sound like) away from SK Hotel and turn left. There are at least 2 farms next to one another with more than 10 girls. Take your time to explore, got a number of farms away from main stretch;

(h) Girl - 4 nights booked 2 girls. First one - though my friends say is the prettiest, I cannot recall her face (lack of chemistry). Second one, did not see her face just book as the girl of my friend says good. Not bad, though not a looker, dance damn sexy. 2K baht worked for only 4 months, still quite tight. RTF - yes. Name is ah noi, I've got her HP number but cannot recall the farm (in Channivate though);

(i) Body massage - went to PL on 12 Apr in the afternoon, booked a girl called Nok (cannot recall her number as well). A tall girl (1.7) that speaks Mandarin with good upper assets and slim. Not a greater looker but her fair skin saves the day. Skill not good but if you like tall fair girls that can speak mandarin, can try her. Also think it is possible to book her for 3K per day provided she has not reported to work. Not guaranteed though;

(j) Food (bah ku teh), personal preference is the one beside lovely tour over the one at SKY. Chester at the Lee Garden shopping is good so is the steamboat at diana;

(k) Poker cards at 7-11 in Thai is quite expensive at think 280 baht; and

(l) Booked a van to Koyo Island to have dinner, good romantic place I think. Food quite expensive coupled with the transport fee though. Time taken about 45 minutes one way.

Just want to state outfront my apologies if I got some of the information mixed up above and welcome fellow friends to correct me. I am quite busy with work hence could only do a rush job on this. Cheers and have fun !!!!

This is my FR on Hatyai. Went with another samster bro, call him A and met a senior samster there, call him B. The three of us were staying in the same hotel.

I tried to book a few gals recommended by senior samsters from the forum but not successful and went hunting alone because A has tirak and B doesn't want to interact much at first.

Bro A tirak fell off from motorbike and has quite deep cuts and bleeding. Bro B saw and help the tirak and that is how I got to know him more. He very professional in handling injury and interesting to talk with.

Bro A wanted to thank Bro B, so gave all of us a treat, I think bro A forget to bring money. End up Bro B gave all of us a treat. He bring his gal along and can see his gal really look up to him. Don't know how he did it. My gal only know how to show black face to me.

General Information

Traditional massage range from Baht 250 to 300 for 2 hours. Oil massage is Baht 350 per hour. Lee Garden having promotion at Baht 499 for 2 hours now.

Internet charge is Baht 10 per half hour at internet cafe.

Noodles or meat rice along roadside stall cost Baht 40 to 65.

Tutuk cost Baht 15 for locals within the city and farang pays between Baht 20 to 30.

Exchange rate is about 22.6 to 22.8 Baht to S$1.00.


Farm Information

Booking in farm starts from Baht 1,500. Can negotiate to Baht 1,200 in Channivet and See Kim Yong. I saw some of the Malaysian customers negotiate and got the gal at Baht 1,200. Very few Singapore customers. Most don't negotiate and pay Baht 1500 or Baht 2,000. I will go into farm when I see other customers going in to see gals. Like this, I get first hand experience on questions asked and response from farm OKT and gals.

Working lady start work now between 11am and 1pm because there are few customers after Songkran. A lot of gals have not come back from their hometown.

Went to SC Heritage Hotel at 1pm and the gals were asleep in their room. They look worse than Channivet gals. OKT and gals asked me come back at 3pm.

Traditional massage cost from 200 to 250 if cost more u dont try.
Internet charge 25-30 per hr at lvl 3 of lee garden.
Noodles or rice i dont think i pay those price at a loval stall cost me ard 30-35 nia.
I sure dont look like local but i only pay 15 baht if they say 20 change another 1.

Visited the place in Apr just before Songkran, the snooker place has been closed for renovation (not sure what will replace the snooker place). Can also try the Hatyai Garden Home hotel.

all the hotel in hatyai are gal friendly..as for hotel with internet access..u can consider either new season hotel (900baht) or golden crown hotel (680 baht).

Prices for traditional massage has risen to cost between 250 to 300. Unless buy voucher or promotion, this was the advertised price around Lee Garden.

Internet charge at hotel is about 30 for half hour in hotel lobby. For internet cafe, it range from 20 to 30 for an hour of use.

I tried the meat rice at the shop near lovely tour. It cost me 65. Other places advertise 40 for a plate of meat rice. Very little meat actually. But some places may offer 30 to 35 for a bowl of noodles. To be safe, better to budget about 65 per bowl.

For tutuk, so far all quote me 20 to 30 depending on distance. I think the locals and smart tourist pay 15. Find it a chore to bargain for 5 to 10 baht less, so chin chye loh.

Another thing is telephone call from Hatyai to MLand is 15 per minute and to SLand is 25 per minute. Some places charge lesser by 5 to 10 baht per minute.

Now I miss the place very much. No more money and leave to go there again.

new season hotel room come with free internet connection. u dun have to pay anything. as for tuk tuk if i m travelling alone..usually i pay them 20 baht. unless travelling in a big grp them we will neg with the driver.
