Anyone stayed at the new hotel, Remington, at RWM before? Am thinking between that, New World at Makati or Marriot (RWM also). Marriot is pricier but hell that voyeuristic view of the bathroom... it works for me. :)

Visiting Philippines soon.

Read the threads for massage, gals, etc. Planning for a good work-play time there. Any recommendations for a good hotel (with nearby shopping), I assume massage list from Cupnoodle, what about overnight gals.

The library comedy bar is a institution man! I like the place very much. Good to bring girls for a laugh and develop the chemistry. Highly recommended!! But beware! They might use u as part of their joke since you are foreigner. At least we asian look like filipino so won't kanna tekan like the angmoh when they went there. Also a lot ah quah and gays there too.

No need bro, plenty of seats available one if go before 9-10pm la. The comedy bar start around 8pm I think. Nice singing from the gays / ah quah also.

Does anyone know any ENGLISH comedy bars.. unfortunately my command of tagalog is limited to "di ba", which i usually use as a cue to laugh, if there isn't any canned laughter being played by the sounds guy

So far i've been to three comedy bars, all in QC, and they only speak in Tagalog, with the token English joke thrown in for 1 minute out of 60.

though i did find that if you're there on a "date" (or replace with any other more accurate term) it does leave a positive impression since you're willing to sit through X hours of nil-> little comprehension so that she gets some giggles...


Depends on where or what kind of itch you have ... lol .. I most probably would be there around then. And leave before CNY. Insomnia, republiq, icon, palladium, kopitiam?

Yah, me too got to some comedy bar in QC (Music box) and the saving grace is the bakla knows me .. in his former adventure in Singapore (no, not the funny one, but clean one .. ) :)

And knowing him saved the headache of me being the butt end of jokes .. as I know it happens very comfortably . even in the filipino shows in Arena here, the foreigners are the butt end of jokes, and sometimes, if not most time, it is very crude and rude .. :eek:

remember the recent furore of an American girl calling filipinos stupid ? it was not without reason: she was invited for a TV show, and the show was all in Tagalog, and the girl had been left amused wondering if the talk was about her, or degrading / belittling her... and if I was in her shoes I too will wonder why they invite me for a talgish show, and secondly, when the crowd laughs when the MC/Comedian is pointing to you .. unless you have a good companion to translate, it is not funnny at all

Unless I have good company, who will quitely tell me ''let's get out .. ' I don't venture into such crappy places .. Filipinos, as good and hospitable they are, can also make you the extreme crude and rude butt end of jokes, and most can be extremely rude and nerve wracking, if you know the content ..

Oh alexey: I did a couple of visits to AF1, with my filipino friends. The price was always a turn off .. for that kind of money, I can spend a few days in in AC inlcuding hotel stay .. :D I know I am cheap charlie (though I know who can stretch a 14,000 peso to a week .. )

And I always ask myself, will I pay the same for a filipina in Singapore. If the answer is NO, I walk away .. unless I am a really sex starved, I wouldn't fancy throwing that kind of $ to a girl in Philippines :D

And 14,000, for a bit of work, can also get you a nice girl, (oh, you need to do some 'groundwork') a girl who can spend more than a couple of days with you, and non-stop xxx

That's what I got in some of my trips, when I had time to 'prepare' and not call on my existing contacts.

one trip, ended up with a nursing student, who was terrified of being spotted by her classmates, but spent 3 days with me, for 15,000 peso (oh, she didn't want any gift or anything, just her tution fee ..)

Another, ended up wth a girl, who was singing in a star hotel, and driving her own car . who just was happy being with me, but a deal is a deal. ..

No, not to rain in your parade, but, 300$ or 400$ will get a equivalent pinay in Singapore, for all night ..

why spend the same in the 'country of origin' ?

Well bro, admire your FR and is it good to be loaded to be able to enjoy that kind of entertainment. For cheap charlie like me, that 13K peso amount would probably let me bar fine about 10 dancers in AC. Of course non of them could match those premium gal in term of look and figure. I would have bonk, go and forget, those with good gfe may get extension or depend on my programme.

I'm more cheap charlie than you, you are consider generous. For example, I've got a non WL and she spent 2 night with me, I bought her 2K worth of stuff and gave her 2K peso when she left. :p

Reckon the amount spent usually not the same but higher, have to consider the time and transportation fare spent to reach the destination. Be it the countries like PRC, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, etc. Sometimes came across loaded or very generous bros splash money in foreign land, where SG got many imported foreign talents. To each his own but for cheap charlie like me, $$$ per bonk become our important formula and that always remind me to stay conscious. Having to travel to the 'country of origin', allow me to get to the source and try taste some refine product. ;)

thanks for tips & comments. No worries, to each of its own. The reason I'm sharing the info on the pricing is to provide the overall picture as alternative to others. I've done most of those mentioned before -> AC of 1500peso barfine, ESA complex when barfine is only 800 peso, LA cafe, havana, socialista, icon, low-high end KTV range. Not to forget DIA, cragslist, etc.

My conclusion is that each has its own kind of fun, if you blend in and 'game' within the rules. Each demands different requirement, some needs more $$, some needs more prepration work, some can do solo, some needs wing-man.

It's always good to have a variety within the trip. Thats normally the formula for a remarkable trip. Just like the food we are having. Variety always prevail.

Also, despite general rules on gal's quality -> more $$ better quality. But, there are also pockets of exception. that's the beauty of philippines.

As you say, each to himself .. when I did get into the fishing business, me too spent a lot, until I realised that paying mega bucks don't mean the chick is made of platinum :D

The idea is to learn to get a good deal, or strike an optimum balance .. :)
